The watershed moment in our couples session that changed everything...

We had a watershed moment in our couples session the other day…

A moment that money couldn’t buy.

A moment that could only come from electing to be in a process that isn’t about reactively fixing what’s broken but responding to make a good thing even better. 

After 3 and a half years of sitting on our embodied counsellors faux leather couch every second month, we shared exactly what we wanted from being there this year.

And in order to look forward, we looked back.

You see, our last session was three months before and I thought…well, nothing has really happened since then. It’s been life and business as usual. A dot dot dot. 

But as we started to speak about what we wanted, we organically tapped into…

…the ridiculousness of the one blow up we had (the drama was comical).

…the satisfaction of the cohesion we experienced as a family on a completely offline cruise and

….the ways in which we show deep respect for each other as individuals that move as a team.

And then Ed said what I didn’t even realise was happening in our dynamic on a day-to-day basis. He said:

Lauren is really changing. 

She’s really playful again. 

She’s initiating more…

And she’s just really open and fun. 

And I was totally taken aback. 

Not even realising the significance of the subtle changes that were allowing me to drop deeper into myself, my body, my desires and that all of that was being experienced by him in real time…

…in the most luscious way. 

Ed was right. 

I am changing. 

And right now, nothing is too small to be overlooked. 

I’m intercepting the smallest of infractions on my power. My pleasure. My sanity. My relationship to Ed and most importantly

my relationship to myself.

And what I’m getting in return is the pleasure of living from a frequency that can’t be gendered as masculine, feminine or otherwise. 

It’s simply a pure electric current of pleasure.

A current that doesn’t differentiate between 

Magnetism or money

Sex or relationships 

Power or leadership 

It’s all one and the same. 

Until this point, you’ve pedestalled one or more - holding one in a higher regard and one in less. 

And pedestalling one or more is exactly why no matter what you do, you never feel like you can have it all. 

Thing is…you can.
